Got a kid who’s constantly doodling in the margins? Sketchers Club is where they take those drawings and start turning them into something extraordinary. We’re all about real skills, creative confidence, and discovering your own visual voice - without losing the joy of it all.
Each week, we focus on a specific drawing skill or technique: from shading and perspective to figure drawing, design basics and more. Students get hands-on with a variety of media (think pencils, markers, charcoal, ink) and work towards a strong sketchbook full of pieces they’re proud of.
Sketchers is more than just drawing class - it’s a creative crew. A place to grow, explore, and get a little obsessed with your own progress.

What we cover ?
Each term we rotate our focus, but you can expect:

Drawing fundamentals (shading, perspective, scale)

Media play (pencil, charcoal, ink, markers)

Figure & face drawing

Creative exercises to build style and confidence

Portfolio-ready pieces (great for high school art prep)
Plus: occasional group challenges, drawing games, and fun experiments to keep it fresh.
The Vibe
Sketchers is welcoming, relaxed, and inspiring. Students work at their own level, with guidance and feedback from our specialist facilitators. It’s not competitive, but we do push gently towards personal progress.
Think: chilled music, creative chats, big sketch energy, and the occasional visit from studio dog Merlot.
All materials provided - just bring your ideas and an open mind.
For our passionate Sketchers who are ready to take things further, we offer Finesse - an invite-only extension class that dives deeper into advanced drawing techniques, visual storytelling, and portfolio development.
It’s a space for emerging young artists to finesse their craft with more time, more technical focus, and mentorship-style feedback.

Meet your Mentor
KALAMUNDA
Caitlin is our newest British recruit - a creative powerhouse with a calm, grounded energy that brings out the best in our young artists.
With a background in fine arts and a love for sketchbooks, detailed linework and quiet creative moments, Caitlin is all about helping students build their skills and confidence without pressure.
She's a big fan of observational drawing, slow sketching, and seeing where the pencil takes you.
Meet your Mentor
NORTH PERTH
Classes are led by Maddi, our master sketcher and big-sis energy queen.
With a Visual Arts degree under her belt and a commitment to doing a page a day in her own sketchbook practice, Maddi brings both skill and heart to every session.
She knows how to meet students where they’re at - guiding, cheering them on, and nudging them lovingly out of their comfort zones. Expect thoughtful feedback, warm encouragement, and a whole lot of creative energy.
All our classes are accessed via membership - think of it like your all-access pass to creativity, connection and a very cute welcome kit.
only have time for one class a week?
Perfect! you’ll join us as a Foundation Member.
That means one weekly class (any of the four classes above) plus the added bonus of a welcome tee and kit, free entry into our members events, think a 3 day summer program, all for free, and discounts on school holidays and birthday parties!
