Why We Do Memberships, Not Casual Classes

"Can we just pop in for a casual class?" We get asked this a lot, and we totally get it. Casual feels easier. Less commitment, more flexibility, no big decisions.

But after nearly a decade of running this studio, we've seen what happens when people show up week after week. It's the whole reason we're a membership studio, and we reckon once you see it, you'll get it too.

Think of it like joining the soccer club

Nobody signs their kid up to soccer for one random Saturday. You join the club, you pay for the season, you rock up to training, and somewhere around week six they stop running the wrong way.

Creativity works exactly the same. A membership is the season, not a string of one-off tickets.

Confidence doesn't happen in one session

Process art is all about experimenting, making a mess and having another go. In the first class, plenty of kids hover a bit. They check what everyone else is doing and ask if theirs is "right".

A few weeks in, they're mixing colours nobody asked them to mix and telling us all about it. That shift is the good stuff, and it only comes with repetition. A casual class gets you a fun afternoon. A membership gets you a kid who backs themselves.

Belonging is built, not booked

Same day, same time, same teacher, same faces. That rhythm turns a class into a crew. People relax when they know who'll be there, and relaxed people create more freely.

It's also how we get to know your child: what lights them up, what they're working through, and when they need a nudge or a bit of space.

It lets us plan properly

Because we know who's coming, we plan each term as a journey rather than a one-off. Projects build on each other, skills layer up and ideas get room to grow across ten weeks. That's really hard to do when the room changes every week.

The perks are pretty good, too

Members get more than their weekly class:

  • A free 3-day Summer School in January

  • 20% off school holiday programs

  • Discounts on birthday parties and retail

  • Member-only events

  • Milestone gifts as the classes add up: a tote bag at 25 classes, a cap at 50, a sweatshirt at 75 and a hoodie at 100

  • The option to add a second or third class each week

How the billing actually works

Memberships run on a 12-month cycle, covering four 10-week terms (that's 40 classes a year). We take the annual cost and split it into 12 equal monthly direct debits.

So you're not paying per class, and your payment stays the same in months with school holidays. Back to the soccer club: you pay the season fee, not per training session.

Missed a class? No stress. You can book a make-up class in the same week through the app. We don't bank credits for later, which keeps classes the right size and keeps your little creative in their rhythm.

The fine print, in plain English

  • The minimum commitment is three months. That's about how long it takes to really see the change.

  • After that, just give us 30 days notice if you need to cancel.

  • Want to add another class a week? Easy, just ask us.

Not ready to commit? Start with 28 days

Our Creative & Confident in 28 Days offer is four classes over four weeks, for the same price as a month of membership. It's a proper taste of studio life, and at the end you can roll straight into a membership without missing a beat.
